Stuart Broad has confirmed that he will miss the limited-overs internationals with Sri Lanka because of the tendonitis in his knee which troubled him throughout the latter stages of the West Indies one-day tour and England's failed World Twenty20 campaign in the Caribbean.

He will miss the one-off NatWest T20I against Sri Lanka on May 20th and the five Royal London ODIs which follow.

Broad hopes to make his first appearance of the season in Nottinghamshire's LV= County Championship match against Durham at Trent Bridge on May 25th as well as Sussex before playing for England, subject to form and fitness, in the first Investec Test against Sri Lanka at Lord's on June 12th.
