Chennai Super Kings beat Mumbai Indians while Sunrisers Hyderabad beat Delhi Daredevils.
Chennai Super Kings breached Mumbai Indians' fortress after 10 games by inflicting a 4 -wicket defeat on the Mumbai Indians with Dwayne Smith and Captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni leading the charge in a thrilling IPL match at the Wankhede Stadium yesterday.
Chasing 158 for a victory, Chennai rode on in-form opener Smith's 51-ball 57 and significant contributions from Faf de Plessis 31 and Dhoni 22 not out of 12 balls, to make 160 for six in 19.3 overs to end Mumbai's superb winning streak which went back to the beginning of last season.
Meanwhile, Sunrisers Hyderabad beat Delhi Daredevils by 8 wickets under the Duckworth-Lewis method in a rain-marred IPL match at the Feroz Shah Kotla here yesterday.
Delhi's fourth consecutive loss means they are all but out of contention for the play-off spot while the win took Hyderabad (eight points) to fourth in the table, two points ahead of Kolkata Knight Riders in fifth.
