Former Bangladesh captain Mohammad Ashraful has been banned for 8 years from all cricketing activities for his involvement in match-fixing in the 2013 edition of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).

On Wednesday, a Bangladesh disciplinary tribunal handed bans to Ashraful, former New Zealand batsman Lou Vincent and Kaushal Lokuarachchi (both failing to report an approach to fix matches). Vincent was banned for 3 years while the Sri Lankan punished for 18-month period, Bangladesh's "Daily Star" newspaper reported today.
