Ishant Sharma ridiculed at match against Leicestershire
Angus Robson, the younger brother of England's new opening batsman Sam, and Greg Smith hit run-a-ball centuries as their 221-run second-wicket stand ensured a chastening time in the field for the Indians on the final day of their first warm-up match against Leicestershire.
India made 333 for 4 and Leicestershire made a strong comeback of 349 for 5.
It was the first day on the job for the bowlers, but at times it became embarrassing as Ishant Sharma, one of the three players from the current squad to have played Test cricket in England, became a figure of ridicule for a group of Indian fans.
The Indian fans endlessly heckled him each time he walked back to his bowling mark with chants of "How many fours are you going to give this over?"
India had to use 10 bowlers but could not control the outburst by the opposition who went at 5.62 runs per over.
