Mathews hails Herath
Angelo Mathews lavished praise on Rangana Herath after he helped Sri Lanka to a seven-wicket victory over Pakistan in Galle.
Pakistan resumed the final day on 4-1 on Sunday, with the match seemingly heading for a draw amid favourable batting, while the possibility of rain threatened to end the match early.
However, left-arm spinner Herath excelled with second-innings figures of 6-48 to help skittle the tourists for 180.
Sri Lanka captain Mathews said that Herath was unbelievable, and it was one of the best games he has taken part in.
He added that they never gave up until the end, and that he was praying for a bit of sunshine and we got through at the right time.
Herath commented that he was always confident the final two days of play would give him the chance to attack the Pakistan order.
