BCCI demands $42m in damages from WICB; SL team arrives in India for 5 match ODI series; Underdone SL dial down expectations.
Calling West Indies' pull-out midway into the India tour a "monumental disaster", the BCCI has slapped a 41.97 million US dollars damages claim on the WICB.
The BCCI also suspended bilateral relations with the WICB till the dispute was resolved and threatened legal action if the West Indies board did not respond within 15 days.
Meanwhile, Sri Lanka was called in to fill in the void by West Indies, and the team yesterday, arrived in India, to play a 5 match ODI series.
In the meantime, in order to justify the sudden ODI tour of India, the Sri Lanka Cricket board enlisted the spirit of 1996 for moral assistance.
