Dhoni Should Stay Captain as Long as he Wants, Don't Rush Kohli: Gavaskar
Former India skipper Sunil Gavaskar said there was no need to rush Virat Kohli into full-time captaincy as long as Mahendra Singh Dhoni was willing to continue.
The regular Team India captain, nursing a thumb injury, was rested for the last two ODIs against Sri Lanka and the first Test against Australia in Brisbane, leaving Kohli in charge for another month.
In Dhoni's absence, Kohli led India to an unbeatable 3-nil lead against the Lankans in the five-match ODI series.
He will now fill in Down Under as India play a four-Test series against the Australian starting December 4th.
