Play abandoned, match extended by a day: India's second tour match cancelled
The second day's play of the third Test between Pakistan and New Zealand in Sharjah has been suspended following the death of Australia batsman Phillip Hughes in Sydney because of a head injury.
An extra day has been added to the Test which will resume from today.
Both teams decided not to take the field after the news of Hughes' death arrived an hour-and-a-half before the start of the second day.
Meanwhile, India's second tour match in Adelaide has been cancelled as Australian cricket takes a 'grief now, sport later' approach following the death of Phillip Hughes.
Cricket Australia must also decide over the coming days on how to approach the first Test at the Gabba, which is due to start on Thursday next week.
