Sanga confirms retirement from ODI's after World Cup
Kumar Sangakkara said that he would retire from ODI’s after the 2015 Cricket world cup.
He expressed these views during the presentation ceremony of the 6th ODI against England during which he was announced as the man of the match.
Kumar Sangakkara who missed out on 2 centuries in the last two games finally made a century to steer Sri Lanka towards sealing the ODI series against England.
Sanga’s century was an ideal farewell to his home town fans in what appears to be his last ODI in Kandy.
Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bat first.
Thilakarathna Dilshan who is also in good form made a brilliant 68 and supported Kumar Sangakkara who eventually ended up on 112.
A cameo innings from Dinesh Chandimal who made a quick fire 35 took Sri Lanka to 292 for 7.
In reply Joe Root was the only batsman to show a fight as he made 55 while England were bowled out for 202, handing Sri Lanka a 90 run win to seal the 7 match ODI Series.
