Additional Solicitor General Yasantha Kodagoda was sworn in, in the presence of President Maithripala Sirisena this morning as the President of the Appeal Court.
President’s Media said this swearing-in took place at the President’s official residence.
President Maithripala Sirisena had nominated President’s Counsel Yasantha Kodagoda to fill the post of President of the Court of Appeal and sent the recommendation to the Constitutional Council.
Subsequently, the representatives of the Constitutional Council which met under the leadership of Speaker Karu Jayasuriya last Saturday, unanimously granted their approval for PC Yasantha Kodagoda’s appointment as the President of the Court of Appeal.Latest News
