Three-year-old boy dies in Gampola car accident - vehicle driven by 17 year old

A three-and-a-half-year-old boy lost his life in a tragic car accident in Gampola. According to the police, the accident occurred when a jeep driven by a 17-year-old school student collided with a three-wheeler near the Gampola bus station.

The jeep, traveling towards Nawalapitiya, struck the three-wheeler, causing it to overturn with the driver and a child. The jeep then collided with a street peddler and another three-wheeler.

The injured three-wheeler driver and the young boy were rushed to Gampola Base Hospital, but the child, identified as Mohammad Siras , who had come from Qatar to visit his grandmother in Illawathura, passed away.

The driver of the jeep, the son of a businessman, has been arrested by the Gampola police.
