Widespread attention had been drawn in society with regard to the agreement allegedly signed between then Opposition leader Ranil Wickremesinghe and then Common Candidate Maitripala Sirisena during the presidential election.

That was in coincidence with the disclosure former UNP General Secretary MP Tissa Attananayake made about the alleged agreement after he crossed over to support UPFA presidential candidate, former President Mahinda Rajapaksa.

However Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe complained to the IGP saying that there was no truth in the said allegation.

Police Media Spokesman SSP Ajith Rohana said at media briefing held in Colombo yesterday that by now the relevant investigations had been completed.

On this occasion the police media spokesman also explained the progress of the probe into the alleged conspiracy carried out at Temple Trees on the presidential-election-day night.

On this occasion Police media spokesperson also said that the arbitrary transfers carried out in the police department during the recent past would be cancelled.
