US-SL+ties+to+boost%3B+Mangala+to+meet+State+Secretary+
Foreign Affairs Minister Mangala Samaraweera says that the diplomatic relations between the United States and Sri Lanka would be brought to new levels.

As an initial step towards this development, minister Samaraweera said that he would meet U.S. State Secretary John Kerry on the 12th of this month in Washington.

Minister Samaraweera expressed these views during a joint media conference held this morning after his meeting with visiting U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Nisha Biswal.

U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Nisha Biswal who arrived in the country this morning is scheduled to meet several government VIPs including President Maithreepala Sirisena and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe.
