"SLFP's Victory Premised on the Unity" - Opp. Leader

The Opposition Leader Nimal Siripala de Silva says that the victory of SLFP would depend not on a single person but on the unity of all.

The Opposition Leader expressed these views at the ceremony held to assume duties by former minister Susil Premajayantha and former senior minister S.B. Navinna as the national organizer and the treasurer respectively.

Opposition Leader Nimal Siripala de Silva expressed his views further at the ceremony held this morning at the SLFP headquarters in Colombo.

Having assumed duties in his new post, former minister Susil Premajayantha said that SLFP is a giant after waking up from a slumber.

He also said the new office bearers have been appointed ahead of grave challenges.

When journalists questioned him about the meeting held in Nugegoda, SLFP new national organizer Susil Premajayantha had this to say.

When another journalist enquired about the SLFP prime ministerial candidate in the forthcoming general election, the party national organizer Susil Premajayantha had this to say.

SLFP General Secretary Anura Priyadarshana Yapa, MPs W.D.J. Senevirathna, R. Dumindha Silva, Mahindananda Aluthgamage, Mahinda Amaraweera and Shantha Bandara were also present at the media briefing this morning.

At the same time, MPs C.B. Rathnayake, Western Provincial Council Chief Minister Prasanna Ranatunga and Provincial Councilors Nimal Lanza and Upali Kodikara who participated in the yesterday’s rally in Nugegoda were also present at the meeting this morning.
