'Meet President, if MR wants to be PM candidate' - Minister Rajitha

The Cabinet Spokesman minister Rajitha Senaratne said if former President Mahinda Rajapaksa is ambitious to become the UPFA prime ministerial candidate, he can do so by discussing the matter with the President.

Answering journalists about the public rally organized yesterday by 4 UPFA coalitions at Nugegoda, the minister stated this during the media conference to inform Cabinet decisions.

Meanwhile General Secretary of National Organization Collective Dr. Wasantha Bandara said in a media conference held in Colombo today that defeated President Mahinda Rajapaksa should re-enter active politics.

While attending the occasion of the new Committee members assuming their duties, the new National Organizer of SLFP Susil Premajayantha expressed his views regarding the rally which was held in Nugegoda yesterday.
