OUSL of Nawala Threatened by Police

A group of Open University student’s charge that a police team of Mirihana police who entered Navala University premises last night scolded and threatened them asking them to vacate the premises immediately.

The students told our news team that 15 police officers who entered the university at 9.30 in the night scolded the students.

The students also quoted police officers as saying that they had obtained a Court order, therefore ordered them to vacate the university premises within 5 minutes.

Police have allegedly threatened to call STF otherwise to evacuate the students.

When enquired about this matter, Police Media Spokesman SSP Ajith Rohana said that Mirihana police has just educated several students who remained within the university premises in the night.
