Update : Wimal summoned to Bribery

The NFF leader and former minister Wimal Weerawansa accompanied a lawyer and reported to the Bribery Commission at 9.30 this morning.

He was summoned by the Bribery Commission to record a statement with regard to his earnings of assets.

Our correspondent stated that the former minister is still being questioned by bribery sleuths.

Earlier the Bribery Commission questioned former ministers Johnston Fernando, Reginald Corey, former Deputy Ministers Rohitha Abeygunawardana and Lakshman Wasantha with regard to their earnings of assets.

Ex-Minister and Parliamentarian Wimal Weerawansa was summoned to the Bribery Commission this morning to record a statement on his assets and liabilities.

The Parliamentarian (MP), accompanied by his lawyer, arrived at the Commission this morning.
