A proposal was tabled in parliament yesterday for debate that as a result of the large scale projects of the previous government loans and interest exceeds the government’s revenue.

Meanwhile the issue on the decision to recite the national anthem in Tamil was raised in parliament yesterday.

UPFA MP Rear Admiral Sarath Weerasekera strongly protested against the decision and JVP MP Sunil Handunnetti objected MP Sarath Weerasekera.
However, SLFP Media Spokesman MP Dilan Perera reiterated that the SLFP has strongly agreed to the decision of reciting the national anthem in Tamil as well.
