Age limit for Child crime increased - NCPA

The National Child Protection Authority has decided to increase the minimum age limit to make an arrest for a criminal offense from 8 years to 12 years.

Chairman of the Authority Attorney-at-law Natasha Balendra told our news team that the Child Protection Authority has already submitted proposals to the government concerning the matter.

She added that they have reached the decision as per the internationally recognized law.
