FFIU grills Air Chief Roshan Gonathilake

The Police Financial Fraud Investigation Division recorded a statement from Former Chief of Defence Staff Air Chief Marshal Roshan Goonetileke with regard to the MiG aircraft transaction in 2006.

Police Media Spokesman ASP Ruwan Gunasekera stated that the statement was recorded for over 6 hours.

Meanwhile the Police Financial Fraud Investigation Division recorded another statement from former President Mahinda Rajapaksa’s Chief of Staff Gamini Senarath as well.

Meanwhile NFF leader and former minister Wimal Weerawansa was summoned again to the Commission to Investigate Bribery or Corruption today for not providing his assets and liabilities.

A Bribery Commission senior official told our news team that the former minister was questioned for over 4 hours to record a statement.

Attorney-at-law law Namal Rajapaksa has complained to the Bribery Commission that MP Weerawansa’s accumulation of current assets is questionable.

Accordingly, former minister Weerawansa was summoned to the Bribery Commission to record a statement on March 9th.

In addition the Bribery Commission informed MP Weerawansa to report to the commission again on April 2nd to record another statement.
