20 year stable policy is necessary to move the country forward - proposals from the Prime Minister

Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe says that a stable policy should be implemented at least for 20 years in order to move the country forward.

He said that it is essential for all parties to initially agree to a national policy.

The Premier stated this while attending a ceremony to launch a new energy plan held in Colombo today.

Minister of Energy Patali Champika Ranawaka presented a copy of the new energy plan to Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe during this ceremony.

The Prime Minister emphasized that everyone should have a basic agreement regarding a 20 year policy for the country and that technology should be utilized to create competitive production in order to step into a knowledge based society.
