Update : Bogollagama bailed out

The Former Minister Rohitha Bogollagama who was accused for a financial irregularity in 2006, was ordered to be released on bail by Colombo Chief Magistrate Gihan Pilapitiya today.

Therefore, he was ordered to be released on a cash bail worth 50 thousand rupees and 2 personal bails worth 1 million rupees each.

The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption filed a case against former Minister Rohitha Bogollagama on the 24th of March.

The court also banned him from engaging in foreign trips.

Former Minister Rohitha Bogollagama relased on bail: court withholds passport

Former Minister Rohitha Bogollagama released on bail by Colombo Chief Magistrate over the financial Fraud case against him while holding Board of Investment (BOI) Ministry. Mr. Bogollagama’s foreign travels also suspended, Police stated.
