Bandaragama businessman found

The Bandaragama businessman reported missing three days ago in Trincomalee has been arrested from Haldummulla in Haputale. 

A senior police officer in charge of Trincomalee division stated that the businessman had schemed his own disappearance drama.

The 35-year-old jewelry businessman of Atulugama in Bandaragama had visited Trincomalee to participate in a jewelry auction conducted by a commercial bank last Monday. 

It was also revealed that the businessman was carrying 20 million rupees when he participated in the auction.

Police received a telephone call from Jaffna citing that the businessman reported to be missing was safe.

Later police continued investigations to arrest the businessman from Haldummulla this morning.

The suspect is scheduled to be produced before Trincomalee magistrate today.
