Supreme Court has ordered the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption to file charges MP Namal Rajapaksa before October 03.

The case is due to be heard on October 14.

The order was issued when the petition against MP Namal Rajapaksa was considered by a panel of three Supreme Court Judges this morning.

Bribery Commission Director General filed this petition citing that MP Namal Rajapaksa has acted in a manner in which he had disrespected the Commission to Investigate Bribery or Corruption.

The petition further points out that the Commission has been disrespected by the MP ignoring its summons to participate in an investigation against him.
