PM Lee to make 5-day working visit to India

Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong will make a working visit to India from Oct 3 to Oct 7 at the invitation of his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) said on Monday (Oct 3).

Mr Lee's last visit to India was in December 2012, to attend the ASEAN-India Commemorative Summit.

In its statement, the PMO said Mr Lee will be in New Delhi for the first three days, where he will meet and be hosted to lunch by Mr Modi.

The two Prime Ministers will also witness the exchange of three MOUs marking their countries' cooperation in the fields of industrial property and skills development, as well as on the establishment of a North East Skills Centre in Assam.

PM Lee will also call on President Pranab Mukherjee, receive a call by Minister of External Affairs Sushma Swaraj and attend a reception for Singaporeans based in India, said PMO.
