Footage released by Kent Police shows a horrific vehicle crash where the victim’s legs are seen hanging out of the front of a car.

The Lithuanian truck driver was jailed for a year after he careered into the back of a traffic jam on the A2 in Kent.

The driver, a man in his 20s, suffered serious injuries and is still undergoing surgery.

Vygantas Stanulis, 55, was jailed for a year at the Old Bailey after he admitted causing serious injury by dangerous driving on Monday.

He had been driving a Mercedes articulated lorry along the coast-bound carriageway of the A2 towards Dover.

Stanulis hit a line of stationary traffic at Harbledown, near Canterbury, Kent during the morning rush hour at 8.35am on January 19.

The lorry, fully laden with steel, smashed into a black Ford Fiesta which in turn hit a Iveco flatbed lorry carrying wooden pallets.
