Rains hit the country yesterday ending the drought that affected the daily lives of thousands of people.

The most amount of rain was experienced in Maliboda area in Yatiyanthota with 76.2mm.

North Central, Sabaragamuwa, Uva and several other districts will witness rain today after 2.00pm, Meteorologist S. Premalal said.
