Joint Opposition to field a common candidate

The Joint Opposition says that it will field a common candidate for the Presidential election in 2020.

MP Prasanna Ranatunga stated this to the media after visiting NFF leader MP Wimal Weerawansa who is currently in remand prison.

Meanwhile, a group of members of Mahajana Eksath Peramuna led by its leader MP Dinesh Gunawardana also visited MP Weerawansa at Welikada prison today.

After a visit to Weerawansa, Gunawardana said he and his group are engaged in an operation to change this government.
