President pledges to stand for National Reconciliation

President Maithripala Sirisena stated that the government’s program on building National Reconciliation and Peace is not for opportunists but for the future generations of the country.

The President expressed these views at the closing ceremony of the leadership development programme organized by the Office for National Unity and Reconciliation held at the BMICH yesterday.

The President noted that the government’s program on building a country where the public can live without fearing another war, is being steered towards success.

The president also pledged to dedicate himself to building national peace and reconciliation in Sri Lanka.
