Leave no room for extremists; Protect peace- President

President Maithripala Sirisena says that today many have forgotten how all races within this nation jointly acted in the struggle for freedom. 

The President made the statement yesterday while participating at the opening ceremony of the Muslim Cultural Complex at the department of Muslim Religious Affairs.

On this occasion the President said that forces opposed to the Government were taking action to spread disunity amongst races by giving incorrect interpretations.

President Maithripala Sirisena said further that all religious leaders should act insightfully towards protecting unity in the nation, without being entrapped by extremist forces.
