Fungus found on Sigiriya frescoes

The world famous Sigiriya frescoes reportedly have a variety of fungus growing on the surfaces.

When our news team contacted the Director General of Central Cultural Fund Professor Prishantha Gunawardana, he said that steps will be taken to remove the fungus using a chemical.

He also mentioned that they will begin the process today.
