JVP provincial councilor Samantha to engage in Sathyagraha at Bandarawela Divisional Secretariat

JVP Uva Provincial Councilor Samantha Vidyarathna is engaged in a Sathyagraha inside Bandarawela Divisional Secretariat.

He is being accompanied by members of 15 families who have been affected by the Uma Oya Multipurpose Project.

Authorities promised on January 3rd that they will provide housing for 100 affected families before January 15th.

Convener of the People’s Front against Uma Oya Multipurpose scheme, JVP provincial Councilor Samantha Vidyarathna says that the authorities to date have failed to keep their promise.

He insisted that he will continue the Sathyagraha with the affected families until housing is provided.
