Water cannon and tear gas fired on IUSF protest at Colpetty

Police fired water cannon and tear gas on a protest staged by Inter University Students Federation at Colpetty junction this afternoon.  

IUSF organized the protest on several demands including termination of Malabe Private Medical School.

Members of the Medical Students Activists Committee were also present at the protest march.

Protesters who began the demonstration from the Institute of Aesthetic Studies later marched to Colpetty junction.

Police fired water cannon and tear gas as protesting students attempted to March towards Temple Trees.
