Water wastage in Colombo rises by 40%: New regulations to prevent wastage

The Ministry of Urban Development and Water Supply says that legal action would be sought against those who responsible for wasting water.

Attending a media briefing held yesterday the Secretary to the Ministry Nimal Hettiarachchi noted that measures have been taken to create new laws to prevent wastage of water.

He added that water wastage in Colombo district alone has increased by 40%.
