Man arrested for taking Rs. 3 million to enroll students into Colombo schools

A school teacher was arrested yesterday, for accepting bribes, amounting to approximately 3 million rupees, from five persons who desired to have their children admitted to a popular school in Colombo.

Police said the suspect was arrested following a complaint made to the Colombo Fraud Investigation Bureau.

The 52-year-old suspect from Colombo 13 was scheduled to be produced before Courts today.
