Muslim boy ordains as a Buddhist monk- [photos]

A seven-year-old Muslin boy has been ordained as a Buddhist monk at the Dimbulagala Forest Monastery, for the first time in history.

Chief Incumbent Millane Siriyalankara Thera said the child’s father had brought him to the monastery. His mother is abroad and reportedly missing.

He was ordained as Rathnapure Siri Sudarshanalankara.
