Experts now have a fair idea as to where the Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 carrying 239 passengers had crashed.
Australian Transport Safety Bureau’s chief commissioner Greg Hood said that experts have a fair idea where the Boeing 777’s wreckage might be located, despite ending the search.
“It is highly likely that the area now defined by the experts contains the aircraft, but that’s not absolutely for certain,” Hood has said.
The ship that was deployed to look for the wreckage halted all operations and returned to to Australia.
Officials from Malaysia, Australia and China had gathered in Perth on Monday to thank the crew of the Fugro Equator.
