Rainfall exceeding 100 mm are likely in some regions.
Showers and windy conditions are expected to continue over surrounding seas.
However, due to the active cloudiness in the vicinity of Sri Lanka, the possibility for strong winds in the Western, Southern and Eastern sea areas is likely. Such activity will be associated with wind speeds reaching up to 70 to 80 kilo meters per hour.
Duty Meteorologist Buddika Bandurathna requested Naval and fishing communities to be vigilant.
