Presidential committee appointed to look into Lake House

President Maithripala Sirisena has appointed a four member committee to look into the regulation of activities at Lake House.

The committee is being chaired by retired Supreme Court Judge Nimal Dissanayake.

The committee’s investigation will go into identifying weaknesses in administrative and management procedures, also probing the financial status of Lake House.

The committee report will be submitted to the President in three months.

It has been noted that the views of employees and the public should be ascertained in preparing the report.
