4 killed by 6.5-magnitude earth quake in Philippines

A powerful earthquake with a magnitude of 6.5 in the southern Philippines killed at least 4 people and injuring about 100 others.

The late Friday evening earth quake damaged buildings and an airport while knocking out power in the area.

The sudden quake roused residents from sleep in Surigo del Norte province making hundreds to flee their homes for safety.

After the initial earth quake there have been at least 90 more tremors which have been recorded in the same locality.
