A stock of live lobsters that were to be used for food preparation were taken into custody from a Chinese restaurant in Colpetty by the Investigation Unit of the Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Development Ministry.

They were also able to find a stock of live sea cucumbers during the raid and are ready to take legal action against the Chinese restaurant owners.

Catching, having in possession, transporting and selling lobsters during their breeding period which is February and October is prohibited under the Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Act.
