Uva PC tense over principal's issue

A tense situation erupted in the Uva Provincial Council today (Jan. 11) over an argument with regard to a principal teacher who was forced to kneel down before a local politician.

Media reported that a principal of a Tamil Medium school was forced to kneel down by a provincial politician.

However, the principal who was subject to the incident denied the allegations later.

JVP Uva Provincial Councilor, Samantha Vidyarathna, and Uva Provincial Council Chief Minister, Chamara Sampath engaged in an argument over the matter.
