Showers or thundershowers predicted

Met Department says there will be a slight increase of prevailing showery condition over the island later today and tomorrow (Jan. 13).
Showers or thundershowers will occur at most provinces of the island tonight.
The Department said that several spells of showers will occur in North-Central, Eastern and Uva provinces, and Hambantota district.
There will be showers of thundershowers in Matara and Galle as well.
Fairly heavy showers (above 50 mm) can be expected at some places particularly in Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces.
Misty conditions can be expected at some places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces during the morning.
The Met Office is urging the general public to be mindful of lightning activity.
