Ceylon Teacher Services Union says they will launch a series of demonstrations after Monday (Apr. 23) against appointing Uva Chief Minister Chamara Sampath Dassanayake as the Provincial Education Minister.
The portfolio was removed from him after he was accused of forcing the principal of Tamil Girls' School in Baddula to kneel down before him.
However, the Governor has reinstated him, a few weeks back.
The General Secretary of the Union, Mahinda Jayasinghe addressing a media conference in Colombo today (Apr. 18) said that legal action should be taken against the CM and other officials who are linked to that incident.
