Today is the second day of the exposition of Kapilawasthu exact sacred relics under Hiru Uththama Dhathu Vandana organized by HIRU FM and HIRU TV to mark Vesak celebration this year.
Hundreds of thousands of devotees have lined up to several kilometres along the road stretch to the historical Jethawanaramaya sacred site in Anuradhapura to pay homage to the sacred relics.
The exposition of Kapilawasthu exact sacred relics commenced at the Jethawanaramaya sacred site early morning yesterday.
The relics were placed in a special shrine at the temple by the chairman of Asia Broadcasting Corporation, Mr. Rayynor Silva.
Asia Broadcasting Corporation has made arrangements to provide all necessary facilities for Hundreds and thousands of devotees who have been waiting sleeplessly in the queue to pay homage to the Kapilawasthu sacred relics.
Hiru Uththama Dhathu Vandana and exposition of the Kapilawasthu exact sacred relics will continue at the Jethawanaramaya sacred site until early morning tomorrow.
Later, the sacred relics will be escorted to Aluthhenagama ancient temple in Galgamuwa and from there to Dampalessa Vidyalankara Ancient Temple in the noon tomorrow.
Thereafter, the Kapilawasthu exact relics will be brought to Attanagalle Ancient temple tomorrow night and the sacred relics will be taken back to Waskaduwa Sri Subhuthi Temple on Thursday night.
