Z score: 2019 A/L cut-off marks released

Z-score cut-off marks of 2019 Advanced Level examination have been issued now and can be accessed on www.ugc.ac.lk  website on the following link;

The Chairman of the University Grants Commission, Prof. Sampath Amaratunga stated that 41,500 students will be able to enter State universities this time. He noted that the number of students that will be enrolled for medical, engineering and other faculties will be increased as well. 

The UGC Chair stated that several factors such litigation, coronavirus epidemic as well as staff limitations at the UGC have contributed to the delay in the issuance of Z-score cut-off marks for the 2019 Advanced Level Examination. 

A case was filed before the Supreme Court in relation to allocation of places for courses of study between the students who applied for University admission under New and Old Syllabi based on the results of the GCE (A/L) Examination held in 2019.

Minimum Z-scores for selection to courses of study of universities in respect of each district and the detailed information on selection based on the GCE (A/L) Examination in 2019 can be accessed through the following modes;
