COVID vaccine by Oxford gains positive results

The COVID-19 vaccine developed by the University of Oxford and is manufactured by AstraZeneca Plc has triggered lower adverse responses among the elderly.

Speaking in this regard, AstraZeneca spokesperson added that “It is encouraging to see immunogenicity responses were similar between older and younger adults and that reactogenicity was lower in older adults, where the COVID-19 disease severity is higher.”

The elderly is observed as one of the most vulnerable groups for COVID-19 and the news that an experimental vaccine triggers an immune response is seen in a positive light.
