It has been confirmed that a police constable attached to the police post at the Peliyagoda fish market has been infected with the coronavirus.

The Police stated that the police officers attached to the police post were subjected to PCR testing after persons associated with the Peliyagoda fish market were diagnosed with the virus.

Meanwhile, the Police stated that an Indian national who was residing in Collingwood Place, Wellawatte has also been infected with COVID-19 and was transferred to the Kandakadu Treatment Centre.
