The three members of the 1990 'Suwa Sariya' Employees Union who held a press conference alleging that proper facilities have not been provided to transport coronavirus patients have been suspended.

The President, Vice President and Assistant Secretary of the 1990 'Suwa Sariya' Employees Union were suspended accordingly.

Speaking to the Hiru News team today (26), Union President, Mayumi Priyangika Weerasinghe stated that the 'Suwa Sariya' Foundation Management had informed them of the decision yesterday (25) night.

The 'Suwa Sariya' Foundation had issued a statement in this regard, noting that disciplinary action has been taken against these employees for spreading false information in violation of company rules.

The 'Suwa Sariya' Foundation also denied all the allegations made during the press conference and pointed out that all employees were provided with required safety equipment in accorance with the Ministry of Health guidelines.

They also noted that all its ambulances are in good condition and maintained by international standard institutions.
