The Chief of the Pakistan Air Force has arrived in the island as a guest of honor at the 70th Anniversary Celebrations of the Sri Lanka Air Force.
When he met the Prime Minister yesterday, he emphasized that Pakistan would extend its full support to Sri Lanka whenever needed.
He also emphasized that security cooperation between the two countries would be enhanced.
Meanwhile, Sri Lanka's High Commissioner to Pakistan Vice Admiral Mohan Wijewickrama stated that the visit of the Prime Minister of Pakistan to Sri Lanka has paved the way for enhancing trade and economic relations between the two countries.
He was addressing the business community in Lahore.
Addressing a meeting organized by the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the High Commissioner said that Pakistan should buy more of the world's most valuable tea produced in Sri Lanka.
